Distance: 16km

Elevation gain: 810m

Time required: 4-5 hours

Mount Gardner is a small peak on Bowen Island that offers great views of the Howe Sound, Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver mainland.

My friends and I took the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Bowen Island in the morning. From there, we walked to Killarney Lake and then took one of many different trail options to get to Mount Gardner. It is not long nor hard; it takes only about 2 hours.

From Mount Gardner, you can continue on the trail and do a loop getting onto the Upper Skid Trail instead of going back the way you came.
