Hollyburn Mountain is one of three mountains that make up the Cypress 'bowl' in Cypress Provincial Park (the other two being Black Mountain and Strachan Mountain). It is very popular for hiking, snowshoeing, and ski touring. I have hiked and snowshoed it several times over the years.
The trail starts from the Nordic/snowshoeing area off of Cypress Bowl Road. In the summer, you first follow a dry ski run for about 800m before turning northward onto the Baden Powell trail. In the winter, there is a separate winter-access trail that starts from the parking lot.

Once on the trail, it climbs gradually all the way to the top. It is not overly long, steep, or technical. The summit is partially obscured by trees but you can still get decent views of the surrounding areas on a clear day.

While I much prefer Black Mountain or Strachan Mountain to Hollyburn Mountain, it is a great beginner hike with decent views.
